If your charger shows a flashing purple light, it means your charger is offline and has lost its internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular). Here’s how to fix it:
✅ Step 1: Restart / Power Cycle Your Charger
- Ensure your car is NOT connected to the charger.
-
Turn OFF the RCD/RCBO (circuit breaker) for the unit. This is usually clearly labelled in your consumer unit/fuse box.
- Leave it OFF for 15 minutes to allow the unit to fully drain.
- Turn the RCD/RCBO back ON.
- The unit will go through its boot-up colour sequence and then show a solid white light.
-
💡 If you see a single flashing white or purple light, don’t worry! It’s just updating telemetry and will return to solid white shortly.
✅ Step 2A: Reconnect if installed with Wi-Fi
WPS Pairing (may take more than one attempt):
- Press the WPS button on your router for 5 seconds.
- On your charger, press and hold the Boost Button on the front of the charger for 11 beeps.
- LEDs will flash orange while connecting:
✅ Green flash = success
❌ Red flash = not successful - Then it will flash white while syncing data—don’t interrupt this step.
-
Once complete, the LED will return to solid white (connected!).
✅ Step 2B: Reconnect if installed with a Cellular Connection
If your unit does not come back online after a restart, the cellular dongle may need resetting by us.
