What is Agile Octopus?⚡

Octopus Agile is flexible smart tariff that tracks wholesale prices, these prices can change every 30 minutes. 📊

Instead of paying a fixed electricity rate, prices change throughout the day based on market conditions. It also features "plunge pricing" where you can get paid to use electricity when renewable generation is high. 

This tariff is best suited to customers who can shift large amounts of their energy use to avoid these expensive peaks, often by using smart home technologies like solar and batteries🌞🔋

How does Indra work with Octopus Agile?🔌

We regularly pull pricing data from the Octopus API so we can generate a cost plan within the Indra platform📊.

Once this data has been analysed we generate a charging plan based on the prices and the charging schedule you have set on your charger. The longer the schedule window the better cost optimisation will be.

Your charging plan may vary from day to day as electricity prices change. However, your charger will only operate within the charging schedule that you have set in the Indra App. The charging plan generated is unique to you and is influenced by several factors, including your available charging window and vehicle type.

Once your charging session has finished and your vehicle has been unplugged🔌, the estimated charging cost will be displayed in the Indra App. 📱
